The Spiš Castle is the biggest medieval castle in the Eastern Europe. It was founded in 12. century on the site of the former Slav fortress. After the fire of 1780 it was severely damaged and has not been renewed ever since. Its component part is an archaeological and historical exposition of the castle’s history. It was included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1993.
